The patient-contact transducer housing for an acoustic kidney-stone therapy — plus the positioning system that made it hands-free.

The treatment head is the part of the Enhanced Lithotripsy System that touches the patient: the acoustic transducer housing that delivers the therapy. I designed the first user-centric housing for direct patient contact — prioritizing comfort and anatomical fit while maintaining acoustic coupling and therapeutic performance — refined through iterative prototyping, ergonomic testing, and cross-functional collaboration.
I also independently developed the positioning system that let the ELS operate as a fully stand-alone device, holding the treatment head hands-free through an entire procedure. I was the sole contributor across that project's lifecycle; further technical detail is limited by confidentiality.
