Conceptual design of a protective cover and band for the Abbott Freestyle Libre continuous glucose monitor — addressing the gap between a medical sensor that works in a clinic and one that survives a user's actual life.

The design focused on skin-safe, durable materials with full compatibility with the sensor's function and NFC performance, refined through iterative prototyping, usability testing, and risk analysis.

Documentation and testing were guided by ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and FDA Class I device requirements — regulatory discipline applied from the first sketch, not bolted on at the end.
